Rated "G" for Green

Thank you for visiting xeko.com! The Xeko game is a two-player trading card game based on the principles of "organic entertainment": high-quality fun that's good for people and the planet. It's also a real brain builder, so be warned: People who spend too much time with Xeko Agents might experience symptoms like advanced intelligence; increased memory; and a passionate interest in animals, ecology, and world adventure!

Published by Matter Group, LLC, the Xeko game is based on the myth of Xeko--a secret order of ecological knowledge--and real-world conservation hotspots.

Players (Xeko Agents) collect and trade cards to create personalized decks and play with friends to build the strongest Xekosystem. Game play is additive, combining both competition and cooperation. Fostering sporting play is a key Xeko trait, and players always get their respective cards back at the end of a match. No game board is required.

Xeko is fun for all ages but recommended for ages 8 and older due to the level of math and reading comprehension required.

The Xeko Game in a Nutshell

The Xeko game embodies the mystical traditions that Xeko Masters have preserved through the ages and passed down to Xeko Agents in the modern day. Xeko helps Agents train, match wits, and, at the highest levels, balance the Earthworks for a healthier planet.

A Xeko Master understands that balance is required to support any ecosystem: spending resources to support diverse--and sometimes endangered--species and conserving resources for the future. The competition for resources can be fierce among species, as can the competition between Xeko Agents seeking to master their own ecological responsibility.

In the game, Agents take turns playing three types of cards (Xeko, Species, and Boost), using their Xeko expertise to best support their Species cards while conserving resources (cards in their draw piles). The game ends when one player is required to draw a card from their draw pile and can't do so because the pile is empty. Whichever player has gathered the most Eco-points, wins!

To learn the Xeko game, have a friend teach you, check out our animated game demo, or start with the learn-to-play materials found in every Xeko starter set. Consult the Official Xeko Rulebook for in-depth rules. If you discover a missing rule or other lost text, please submit your findings to rules@xeko.com. Xeko Masters strive to fill in the gaps of missing lore to better prepare their Agents to do their important work!

Hotspot Card Download

Currently numbered at 34, biodiversity hotspots are specific locations around the planet where especially rich ecosystems are critically threatened.

Agents begin playing a Xeko game by placing a Hotspot card in the middle of the field. Hotspot cards are included with the purchase of a starter set, or can be downloaded for free on this site and then printed for play.
